If you’re someone who loves discovering places that almost feel unreal, Vietnam might end up surprising you in the best way.

Over the course of 24 days, I traveled solo through the country, starting in the south and slowly making my way north. Along the way I experienced vibrant cities, quiet mountain landscapes, incredible food, and moments that reminded me why I love traveling alone.

Some destinations felt energetic and fast-paced, while others - like Sapa in the mountains - offered a slower rhythm that made it easy to settle into the soft life for a few days.

During my 24-day solo trip through Vietnam, I visited several cities and mountain regions. Below are the detailed guides from each stop along the journey.

A few tips before you go:

Plan Ahead

Vietnam has so many incredible destinations that it helps to have a rough idea of your route before you arrive. Research a few cities or regions that interest you so you can plan your travel days and avoid feeling rushed.

Pay Attention to Details

Some of the most memorable moments in Vietnam aren’t the big attractions - they’re the quiet alleys, lantern-lit streets, local cafés, and unexpected views that appear when you least expect them.

Curate Your Vibe

One of the best parts of traveling solo is being able to move at your own pace. Some days might be full of exploring, while others might look like slow mornings, good food, and simply taking in the scenery.
