Blending restored historic architecture with contemporary design, inviting restaurants, and beautifully curated spaces, it offered the kind of atmosphere that encouraged me to slow down long before I stepped outside to explore Lisbon.

My room balanced comfort with clean, modern design. Every detail felt intentional, from the layout to the finishes, creating a space that was equally suited for relaxing after a day in Lisbon or enjoying a quiet morning before heading back out. Rather than feeling like a standard hotel room, it felt thoughtfully designed for travelers who actually spend time where they stay.

One of the things I appreciated most about Locke de Santa Joana was how much there was to experience beyond my room. Whether I wanted coffee in the morning, a leisurely lunch, evening cocktails, or dinner without leaving the property, there was always somewhere new to settle in.

As someone who intentionally books hotels that become part of the trip, this was exactly the kind of experience I look for.
