G Boutique Resort Hoi An: A Peaceful Boutique Stay With a Private Terrace
Updated: Oct 23
Soft Life Stays | Hoi An, Vietnam
Stayed March 2024
One night in a spacious apartment with a freestanding bathtub, outdoor shower, and a terrace made for slowing down.

For my final night in Hoi An, I decided to switch hotels and experience a different side of the city.
After spending two nights closer to Old Town, I checked into G Boutique Resort, a smaller, colorful property with a peaceful atmosphere and beautiful outdoor spaces.
I only stayed one night, and if there's one thing I would change, it's that I would have given myself more time to enjoy the room.
Because this was definitely a place where staying in could have been part of the experience.
Quick Facts
Location: Hoi An, Vietnam
Room: Apartment with terrace / $73 USD per night after tax
Best for: Slow stays, couples and solo trips
Inclusion: Breakfast Included, cooked to order
Favorite Feature: Outdoor shower, freestanding bathtub, spacious apartment, and terrace
Stayed: March 2026
First Impression
Colorful, Intimate & Surrounded by Greenery
G Boutique Resort felt different from my first Hoi An hotel.
The property was smaller and more intimate, with colorful buildings, flowers, and greenery throughout.
It had a peaceful atmosphere that made it feel removed from the busier parts of the city.
There was also a waterside seating area where guests could relax, although I didn't have time to use it during my short stay.
Inside My Apartment With Terrace
More Space Than I Expected
One of the first things I noticed was how spacious my apartment felt.
There was a large bed, plenty of closet space, a television, a refrigerator, and a kitchen area.
I also had a cozy little seating nook with a hanging chair, which added personality to the room.
It felt like somewhere I could have comfortably settled in for several days rather than just one night.
A Freestanding Bathtub & Outdoor Shower
The bathroom was another standout feature.
There was a freestanding bathtub inside, along with an outdoor shower area accessible directly from the bathroom.
I loved having both options, especially in a property surrounded by so much greenery.
A Terrace Made for Relaxing
My apartment also had a terrace with a daybed-style lounging area.
From the terrace, I could see the swimming pool and glimpses of the nearby water through the trees.
The greenery partially obstructed the water view, but it added to the peaceful atmosphere of the property.
Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to fully enjoy the terrace, which is one reason I'd love to return.

Breakfast & Hotel Amenities
Plenty of Options
A Freshly Prepared Breakfast
Breakfast was included in my stay, but unlike the buffet at Sun Hoi An Boutique Hotel, G Boutique Resort offered a cooked-to-order breakfast.
I selected what I wanted, and the staff prepared and served it.
My breakfast included fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, toast, juice, and coffee.
It was a nice way to start my final morning in Hoi An.
Pool & Waterside Spaces
The property also had a swimming pool, which I could see from my terrace.
There was a seating area near the water, providing another place to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
Because I was only there for one night, I didn't get to take advantage of all the outdoor amenities.
Location & Exploring Beyond Old Town
One reason I chose to move hotels was to experience a different area of Hoi An.
I knew that once I left the Old Town area, I wouldn't want to spend my time repeatedly taking taxis back.
So I planned my remaining activities accordingly.
During this part of my stay, I visited Roving Chill House and spent time at Soul Kitchen on An Bang Beach.
It was a slower way to finish my time in Hoi An, with less focus on sightseeing and more time simply enjoying the surroundings.
Honest verdict
Would I Stay at G Boutique Resort Again?
Definitely!
At $73 for the night, I thought the value was excellent considering how much space and how many amenities came with my apartment.
I loved the spacious room, freestanding bathtub, outdoor shower, and private terrace.
My only regret was booking just one night.
This is the kind of property where I'd want to spend more time enjoying the accommodations rather than using the room only between activities.
If I return to Hoi An, I would absolutely consider staying here again.
